Commercial Gas Engineers
Optimise Heat & Steam are looking for Commercial Gas Engineers to join the team.
The candidate must have experience in the following:
- CODC01: Changeover domestic – commercial and/or COCN1 Core commercial
- ICPN1: Installation of Commercial Pipework (First and second fix gas pipework)
- CIGA1: Indirect Fired Commercial Appliances
- TPCP1A: Testing & Purging of Pipework to IGE/UP/1A
- TPCP1: Testing & Purging of Pipework to IGE/UP/1
- CCCN1: Core Commercial Catering
- CONGLP1PD: Changeover from NPG to LPG – Permanent Dwellings
- Commissioning
- Servicing Commercial Gas Boilers
Current commercial gas qualifications essential.
It would be highly desirable to have a current Gas Safe Card and a Skill Card or equivalent. Commercial Burner experience an advantage.
Combustion Engineer
Optimise Heat & Steam are looking for an experienced Combustion Engineer to join our specialist team.
The candidate will have experience working on the following:
- Riello
- NuWay
- Hamworthy
- Saake
- Dunphy
Experience of working on both pressure jets and rotary cups is essential, alongside the relevant commercial gas qualifications and combustion training.
It would be highly desirable to have a current Gas Safe Card and a Skill Card, or equivalent.
Pipe Fitter/Welder
Optimise Heat & Steam are looking for a Pipe Fitter/Welder to join the team.
The candidate must have experience in the following:
- Experience in Steam and Hot Water Systems preferable, but not essential.
- Experienced in MIG, TIG and MMA Welding essential.
- Welding mild steel and stainless steel essential.
- Able to work from drawings.
- Site working essential and to be prepared to work away from home on some occasions.
- Must have CSCS Card.
- IPAF Ticket preferable.
- Clean Full Driving Licence – essential due to rural location.
The key responsibilities will include:
- Working within a small team of professional skilled engineers to install various steam systems in differing industries.
- To be able to demonstrate independent working and use one’s own initiative.
- Carrying out repairs according to specifications
- To be able to perform in customer care e.g. liaise with clients while working on projects, and problem solve where required.
- Carry out daily tasks set out by Management and charge hands.
- Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed promptly and accurately.
Candidates will be subject to an in-house weld test and must be comfortable potentially working at a height.
Coded Welders
Optimise Heat & Steam are looking for highly-skilled Coded Welders to join our team of expert Welders.
The candidate will have experience in the following:
- Welding in a commercial/industrial setting
- Welding the following: MIG, TIG and MMA
The candidate must have proof of current coding qualifications, copies will be required. A current PFW Skills Card and IPAF MEWPs would be an advantage, also.
Candidates will be subject to an in-house weld test and must be comfortable potentially working at a height.
Mechanical Engineer
As a Mechanical Engineer your key responsibilities will include:
- Working within a small team of professional skilled engineers to install various steam systems in differing industries.
- To be able to demonstrate independent working and use one’s own initiative.
- Carrying out repairs according to specifications
- To be able to perform in customer care e.g. liaise with clients while working on projects, and problem solve where required.
- Carry out daily tasks set out by Management and charge hands.
- Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed promptly and accurately.
- Diagnosing onsite mechanical issues (this may include pumps, motors and control valves).
Skills/Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role would have previous experience of
- Refurbishing pumps and valves
- Valve and pump overall
- Working from engineering P&ID/spool drawings and schematics.
- Steam and Hot Water Systems preferable, but not essential
- Site work, essential and to be prepared to work away from home on some occasions.
- Must have CSCS Card
- IPAF Ticket preferable
- Clean Full Driving Licence – essential due to rural location.
- City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering (preferable)
- NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years site experience.
Salary banding £32000.00 – £35000.00 per annum (depending on experience) plus overtime and bonus. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm. 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) and 1 extra days holiday for each year served up to 5 years.
